First we traveled to visit Beverley's family in Yorkshire, England, then to Istanbul, Turkey for a little culture shock, then to France for 6 weeks of driving around the French countryside sipping wine and eating stinky cheese culminating with a week in Paris.

In France, we did some tasting in Champagne, hiked in the Alps, enjoyed the easy life in Provence and Languedoc, checked out the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, hit the Basque Country on the border of France and Spain, did some more degustation in Bordeaux, shot through Cognac and the Loire, visited Rouen in Normandy  and finished with a week of museum hopping and people watching in Paris!
